Area K-12 Schools
is a K-12 public school district located Gaylord Community Schoolson northern Lower Michigan. The district encompasses approximately 265 square miles, including portions of Otsego, Antrim, Crawford and Montmorency counties. Students are provided a rigorous and relevant academic program enhanced by an array of co-curricular and athletic opportunities. The Gaylord Intermediate School was identified by the Michigan Department of Education as a REWARD school and the district as a Beating the Odds schools. All of the schools are AdvancED Accredited. The Social Work Program offers its B.S.W. degree program to students in Northern Michigan via interactive television (two-way audio/video) through the University Center Gaylord. Designed for transfer students, the part-time program may be completed in 2 1/2 years with classes scheduled to accommodate the working adult student.
